Students have used the "request" item feature of the library's LINCC online catalog during the closed stacks period of library transition. The new library in the Partnership Center on the Sanford/LakeMary campus will open on March 15th but the request feature will always be there.
You might find it helpful to continue using that feature as you do research away from the library. Any books requested online while you work evenings or weekends will then be at the Information Services Desk when you arrive on campus. Think of the time saved!
This is a great way to use technology to our advantage, save time, and get on with other things! Hope this tip helps :) ...

Yes that is a catchy song heard during the movie "Twilight" but also one of many free online video lectures and courses you can get on Academic Earth. This one came from "Introduction to Astrophysics" course by a professor at Yale. Other interesting ones they feature are "The New Testament as History", "The Morality of Murder"and "Roman Architecture". You can view these and thousands of video lectures from top scholars from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, Harvard, Princeton and Yale here at Academic Earth.
